Q.
Do I have to be a nurse to take the basic coding course?

A. The basic coding course is designed as a fast paced course which builds upon the nurse’s clinical knowledge to learn the fundamentals for medical coding. Non clinical participants are likely to not have the basic knowledge required for this course. RNs, LPNs and some other allied health providers would likely have the ability to keep up with the course content.
